Effective: launch date of the app
ShabbatRise collects no data at all. The app was built from the ground up to work entirely on your phone, and nothing you do inside it is recorded, transmitted, or shared with anyone — including us.
There are no accounts to create, no analytics libraries, and no advertising of any kind. We have no way to identify you, track your usage, or show you ads, because none of that machinery exists in the app.
ShabbatRise never makes a network connection while it runs. It does not call home, check for updates over the internet, or send any information anywhere — it works exactly the same in airplane mode as it does with full signal.
Your location is used only to compute candle-lighting and havdalah times for Shabbat. That calculation happens entirely on your device, and the location data is stored only on your device — it is never uploaded or sent to us or to anyone else.
Alarms and notifications are handled entirely by your phone's operating system, locally. Nothing about your alarms, wake-up times, or usage patterns ever leaves your device.
Both our App Store and Google Play listings declare "no data collected," as required by store policies, because that is a complete and accurate description of how ShabbatRise works.
